1. Who we are

Unstudio is operated by Unstudio Services Private Limited, with its registered office at 602, Sector 13, Urban Estate, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. In this policy, "Unstudio," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Unstudio Services Private Limited.

This Privacy Policy applies to Unstudio's websites, applications, and services. Unstudio provides AI-assisted marketing planning, content creation, scheduling, and related tools for businesses. If you use Unstudio for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to provide information and connect accounts on its behalf.

2. Information we collect

Account information

We collect information used to create and secure your account, such as your name, email address, profile picture, authentication details, workspace membership, and account preferences.

Business and brand information

We collect website URLs, public website content, product information, brand guidance, audience details, marketing goals, preferences, instructions, and feedback. When you ask us to analyse a website, we may retrieve public pages, images, logos, colours, fonts, and other public material from that website.

Content and communications

We process prompts, chat messages, uploaded files, photos, videos, captions, drafts, approvals, edits, rejection reasons, schedules, and other content you submit or create through the service.

Connected services

If you connect a social or other third-party account, we receive the information and permissions needed to provide the features you request. Depending on the connection, this may include account identifiers, profile or page data, posts, publishing status, engagement information, comments, or messages. We only request and use permissions that support visible Unstudio features.

Usage and device information

We automatically collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, session and cookie identifiers, pages viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, and diagnostic logs. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Billing information

If you buy a plan, our payment provider processes your payment details. We may receive billing contact information, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and limited payment metadata. We do not store complete payment card numbers.

3. Google account data

If you choose Sign in with Google, Unstudio receives your name, email address, profile picture, and a secure account identifier. We use this information only to authenticate you, create or link your Unstudio account, prevent fraud, and provide account support.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. We share it only with service providers that help us operate authentication and the service, when you direct us to do so, or when required by law. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, personalise, and maintain your workspace and requested features.
  • Research your public business presence and build brand memory, plans, and content.
  • Generate, revise, schedule, and, when authorised, publish content.
  • Learn from your instructions, approvals, edits, and feedback within your workspace.
  • Secure accounts, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and enforce our Terms.
  • Provide support and send service, security, and account communications.
  • Measure performance and improve reliability, usability, and content quality.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users, Unstudio, and the public.

We do not use a customer's private workspace content to train general-purpose AI models unless we first obtain clear, affirmative permission.

5. How we share information

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that provide hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, AI and image generation, monitoring, analytics, payments, file storage, and social-platform connectivity may process information for us under contractual and security obligations.
  • Connected platforms. We send content and instructions to a platform when you connect it and ask us to perform an action, such as scheduling or publishing a post.
  • Your organisation. Workspace owners and authorised members may access information within that workspace according to their permissions.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or security incidents.
  • Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. AI processing

Unstudio uses AI service providers to analyse authorised material and generate plans, text, images, and other outputs. We send only the information reasonably needed for the requested task. AI outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate, so users should review drafts before approval or publication.

7. Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

8. Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect against fraud or abuse. Retention periods vary by data type. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to backups and legal requirements.

9. Security and international processing

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Unstudio and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards and take steps intended to protect information consistently with this policy.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to appeal certain decisions. You can disconnect connected services, update parts of your account, or ask us to close your account. To make a privacy request, email support@unstudio.ai. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent authentication or other core features from working.

11. Children

Unstudio is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the service.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
